This Fall an anonymous parishioner reached out saying she wanted to gift the Parish with a relic she has had for the past 45 years, a relic of the True Cross. The relic arrived this week and on Wednesday morning Fr. Terry excitedly opened the package, welcoming this precious gift to it’s new home. Along with the relic were a certificate of authentication and notes from the parishioner describing how she received the relic and its significance in her life, having been present with her through many trials.

“Sr. Briege McKenna, healer, gifted me with the enclosed relic of the True Cross in 1974...This relic has resided on my little home altar for forty five years. Now that I am approaching 90 the Boss says it’s time to pass it on. May those who embrace it be blessed.”

We are filled with gratitude for this unexpected gift to our Parish! Fr. Terry is discerning how to best store and display the relic so that everyone can venerate it and be drawn ever closer to Our Lord, Jesus Christ who bore that same Cross out of love for each one of us.
