How is Jesus challenging you to greater love in your current place in life? At this stage in my life, joyfully awaiting the soon arrival of my first baby, Jesus is challenging me to greater love in finding balance between accepting my husband’s loving charity, and simply doing things myself. The temperate balancing act is also a challenge as we prepare for our baby boy while juggling new jobs, moving into a new home, managing the new home, and approaching our one year Wedding Anniversary.
What's your favorite way to spend a Saturday off? Our Saturday’s off include many naps and a couple hours of hard work. Well, hard work for my husband as he moves and cleans things while I put my swollen feet up and cheer him on from the comfort of our air conditioned living room.
My morning routine consists of... My morning routine always includes early morning puppy potty breaks, hitting the snooze button a couple times, breakfast with my husband and a devotional – currently I am mediating on the Imitation of Christ, an hour of prepping food for my hobbit-like eating habits to make it through the day, then letting my dog out for a quick adventure before heading off to Morning Mass here at St. Therese.
I'm currently obsessed with... I’m currently trying hard to not obsess over missing the little things as we prepare our home four our first baby. My favorite part of my life right now is cherishing time with my husband while it is still just the two of us and the slower pace of life that South Bend brings – late afternoon walks around the neighborhood with our dog, evening cuddles, and pregnancy-mandated foot rubs and ice cream Sundaes.
I feel most inspired when... I’m teaching and see a lightbulb go off in a student’s mind or when I say something that makes sense in a new way that I hadn’t even thought of before and it could only be the Holy Spirit speaking through me.
