Missionary Discipleship: Children are Ministers Too!

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are not for adults alone. Children, too, are called to holiness and to participate in the mission of the Church. And for this purpose, they, too, have received the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

It is important to note that the Church recognizes and venerates many children saints. I am blessed to announce that our little parish is full of many children saints in the making!

Every day I hear amazing stories of children doing beautiful things for Jesus. Many are liturgical ministers. Many more witness to the faith in various little, albeit, by no means insignificant ways.

Part of our Christian responsibility as adults is to help our children grow in holiness. This was what the Catechetical team of the parish, led by Alexis Duffy, did on Pentecost Sunday last week.
