According to Sacrosanctum Concilium, the Second Vatican Council’s 1963 Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy,
sacred music is “a necessary and integral part of the solemn liturgy” whose purpose is, to borrow the words of Pope Pius X, “the glory of God and the sanctification and edification of the faithful.”
The music ministry at St. Thérèse Little Flower Catholic Church endeavors to make the Church’s vision for liturgical music a reality by involving the clergy, choir, and congregation in music-making that befits
the dignity and splendor of the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
On December 16th, 2020, Daniel gave a Zoom presentation explaining the Church's teaching on sacred music. You can view a recording of the presentation here.
Anyone who would like to learn more about the parish music program or would like to volunteer as a cantor or chorister is encouraged to contact Daniel!
