    • How do I know what charisms I have?

Discerning your charisms is a process that involves prayer, self-knowledge, perseverence, humility & boldness. But don't fear! Every baptized Christian has charisms that God wants you to use to accomplish His mission for you on this earth.
The best way to discern your charisms is to enroll in the Called & Gifted Discernment Process. This involves three steps.

      1.  Attend a Called and Gifted Workshop. This weekend workshop will give you an overview of all the charisms, the basics of discernment & have you take a gifts inventory.
      2.  Meet with a trained gifts interviewer. This meeting will give more insight into patterns in your life that may indicate charisms.
      3.  Do "in-depth" discernment with a small group. Along with a group, you will develop a plan for how to intentionally & boldly "experiment" with potential charisms & look for signs that a charism is present.
    • what's the point of knowing my charisms?

We all need help learning how to say "yes" to the right things & "no" to the wrong things. Knowing our charisms is a natural, grace-filled tool for saying "yes" to how & where we can effectively serve the Church & the world.

    • how many charisms are there?

There are twenty-four charisms outlined in the New Testament, but we know that the Holy Spirit has given countless charisms to be unleashed in the world!

    • What is a charism?

Charism comes from the Greek word "charismata" which means "gift". A charism is a gift, given by the Holy Spirit, for the sake of building up the Body of Christ.

      Some possible charisms are:
healing, teaching, evangelism, prophecy, encouragement, helps, service, hospitality, knowledge, craftsmanship, writing, music, wisdom, pastoring, mercy.
