St. Thérèse Little Flower parish is seeking a full-time
Director of Sacred Music and Liturgy. Located just east of the University of Notre Dame, the parish has a piano but no functional organ currently, offering four weekend Masses and without a parish school. About 1,000 people attend Mass each weekend (prior to COVID-19). This role will arrange for all parish liturgies that have music, personally accompany 3 or 4 weekend liturgies, and lead a regular practice for cantors and/or seasonal choir. Additional responsibilities include: preparing and playing for funerals, weddings, and holy days; attending parish staff meetings; coordinates training for and schedules all lectors, servers, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, and greeters. Must be proficient in piano and leading a choir, as well as familiar with teachings and liturgical practices of the Catholic Church. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Sacred Music preferred. Salary varies with experience and proficiency, beginning around $675 per week, and will offer benefits. Two weeks (incl. up to four weekends) of paid vacation per year.
