Celebrating our Spirit of Generosity

Three Sundays ago, the Knights of Columbus sold tickets for chicken dinner in support of Gibault Children's service. The response from parishioners was overwhelming. Many people paid more than the 12 dollars that was requested per dinner!
Last Saturday, the knights of the parish were on site to deliver expertly smoked chicken, potatoes, and coleslaw. It was a mini celebration for the knights.
Today, I simply want to celebrate our spirit of generosity as a parish! Especially when it concerns those who have little, we are always so willing to give. In this, we are most faithful to our mission as a parish: "Driven by the missionary zeal of St. Therese, the Lord anoints us to proclaim to the poor and broken the good news that Jesus calls us to abundant life in Him."
